Communication and Democracy

Communication and Democracy: Representative

My name is Julie Uldam. I am a PhD candidate at the Department for Intercultural Communication and Management at Copenhagen Business School and Department of Media and Communications at London School of Economics. I am currently based in Copenhagen where I teach political globalisation and co-ordinate a course on the philosophy of science. My PhD project is about the role of popular online media in facilitating possibilities for contesting dominant discourses on globalisation at an organisational level.

This is a short survey that aims to understand what people consider important in good public debates as they are conducted through the media, but also face-to-face. It is interested in the kind of qualities a public debate should have in a democracy: https://www.survey.bris.ac.uk/lsewebsite/debate
