VENUE AND ACCOMMODATION
The Summer School will take place at Faculty of social sciences (FDV), which is located about 2,5 km to the north of Ljubljana city centre. Accomodation for participants is provided in the nearby student home Dijaski dom Bezigrad (see map below):

GETTING THERE:
From Ljubljana airport
Bus
The most common connection with Ljubljana is by bus. The journey time is approximately 45 minutes and tickets (about 4€) are purchased on the bus. Tell the driver you would like to get off at the »Stadion« stop in Ljubljana, which is about 500 meters from Dijaski dom Bezigrad (see map).

Airport shuttle
Airport shuttle is a very convenient way of getting from/to airport as it can drive you directly to the student home (Dijaski dom Bezigrad). The journey time is about 30 minutes
and  tickets are bought on the shuttle/bus.

Taxi The taxi rank is right in front of the terminal.  Taxis are available according to the actual arrivals of flights. A fare from the Airport to Ljubljana City costs  approximately 40€.

Please note that you cannot be reimbursed for taxi fare.
  
From Ljubljana bus or train station/city centre
City Bus  Take the bus number 6 (direction »Crnuce«), 8 or 11 (direction »Jezica«) to »Mercator« stop (if you enter at station »Bavarski dvor« go off at the fourth scheduled stop). Accommodation and venue are about 250 meters from the bus stop.
You need electronic ticket (card) Urbana to travel by city bus. Urbana can be bought at kiosks and vending machines, one fare is 0,80€. Each participant will receive Urbana card in the information pack upon arrival to Dijaski dom Bezigrad. If you will have to buy Urbana before arrival to student home, save all the receipts for refunds. Urbana card can also be used for BicikeLJ – bike rental service (requires prior registration at: http://en.bicikelj.si/)
TaxiTaxis in Ljubljana operate by meter with a starting fee of about 1,5€. It is however advisable to ask for the price estimation in advance. It is also advisable to call a taxi rather than hail it on the street. Among the advisable ones are:

Taxi from bus/train station to Dijaski Dom Bezigrad should not be more than 8€.

Currency: The official currency in Slovenia is Euro. Banks and exchange offices don’t charge special commissions.
