"Recession and the Media" - Special Issues of Popular Communication: The International Journal of Media and Culture

We (editors)  are pleased to announce the publication of our latest special issue on the impact of
the global economic crisis on popular communication, edited by Jonathan Gray and Lee
Harrington.

In a series of exploratory essays, this special issue of Popular Communication examines
the impact of the recession on different aspects of global and regional media and
cultural industries, changing practices of media production, as well as media
consumption, and the interplay of economic challenges and technological change.
