LES Online is an innovative journal that aims to contribute to the study oflesbian issues and to promote lesbian equal opportunities and civil rights.Published semi-annually by LES - Discussion group on lesbian issues(www.lespt.org), this international publication aims to promote studies andscientific research as well as intervention projects and opinion piecesrelated to different aspects of lesbian issues. In addition to the EditorialTeam, the magazine includes a Consultative Committee to ensure the qualityof submitted articles review.
The Vol. 1, No 1 (2009) editorial started with a question:"In our time the borders of gender categories tend to blur, while sexualorientation issues are being framed in enlarged terms, defying definitionssuch as lesbian, gay, hetero and bisexual. Whereas poststructuralist andqueer theories suggest ways of rethinking gender and sexual identities, wepropose a digital publication on lesbian issues. LES Online welcomes academics, practitioners, and researchers interested instudies that incorporate lesbian issues to submit articles. This is amulti-language publication. Papers may be presented in Portuguese, Spanish,English or French.
