Three years position at the Faculty of Television Production and Film Studies

The faculty, with over 30 employees and 450 students, offers full time studies in television production, film and television studies, cultural project management and art history. It also offers two Master’s programmes and is responsible for the development of a PhD programme in the field of Visual Media.

About the position

The fellowship will contribute towards insight into recent advances in the field of television studies. Both theoretically and empirically orientated projects are of interest. It can be projects that reflect on the theoretical and methodical challenges that television studies are faced with in a digital and convergent media world, or projects that employ an empirical approach towards this situation.

It is expected that the candidate is present in and contributes to the development of the PhD programme, Visual Media, which is a cooperative programme involving Lillehammer University College and the media technology community of the neighbouring Gjøvik University College.

The candidate’s project must be intended to culminate in a PhD and the candidate must apply for entrance to a PhD programme at a University. The University College will assist in the establishment of such an arrangement. It is also possible for the candidate to participate in the PhD programme at the University of Karlstad while retaining their main supervisor at Lillehammer University College.
