Methodology workshop introducing prominent approaches to discourse analysis with comparative aim: van Dijk, Fairclough, Wodak, Jäger, evt. Laclau/Mouffe

Short biography:
Roy Langer is a professor of Corporate Communication at Roskilde University. His research reflects an insistent interest in innovative research methods and communication practices across the traditional divides between disciplines, quantitative and qualitative research; and it has been published in - besides a handful of authored or editored books - in anthologies and journals ranging from International Journal of Applied Linguistics and Publizistik to Psychology and Marketing and Harvard Deusto Review. He has received several awards for his research and teaching results, such as a doctoral dissertation award for his study of national images in the media and place branding (2000, Copenhagen Business School) and a Emerald Literati Network Award for a study of storytelling and crisis communication in an airline company (Corporate Communications - An International Journal, 2007). Roy Langer is a reviewer for several communication journals and a member of the Editorial Board of Corporate Reputation Review (PALGRAVE) and Management Communication Quarterly (SAGE).
