Title of the presentation:
European information society policies: critical review
Short abstract of the presentation:
European Union adopted in 2005 a policy paper "i2010 – A European Information Society for growth and employment". A major review of its implementation will take place late 2008. According to the Commission, the key themes that will be debated during the review include the emerging trends in networks and internet, developing a user perspective, and promoting an internal market for online services. In my presentation I will present a critical overview of EU's information society policies, especially from the users' and citizens' point of view.
