Interview with: PLATFORM: New Postgraduate Journal in Media and Communication

YECREA interviewed Esther Chin, Amira Firdaus, Gin Chee Tong and Elias Mokua Nyatete, the Editors of the biannual online postgraduate journal PLATFORM: Journal of Media and Communication. This is a new postgraduate journal, refereed by an international board of established and emerging scholars working across diverse paradigms in Media and Communication, and it aims to encourage sharing and support within and across Media and Communication postgraduate communities worldwide.

CALL FOR PAPERS: NEW POSTGRADUATE JOURNAL

'PLATFORM: Journal of Media and Communication' (ISSN 1836-5132)

Submissions are invited for 'PLATFORM: Journal of Media and Communication', a new postgraduate journal to be launched in June 2009. 'PLATFORM' is a biannual open-access online publication started by the Media and Communications Program, School of Culture and Communication, University of Melbourne. It is planned to develop this journal as an international journal.

We want to thank all young scholars for the input they have provided in Barcelona.

We have had four very successful meetings with young scholars:

-- A very pleasant informal meeting before the conference at the beautiful Palau de la Música Catalana, which was attended by some 35-40 young scholars;

-- The business meeting where the new board was elected (which also attracted some 35 people, one of the best attended ECREA business meetings);
