What is journalistic ideology? How does it work? This lecture seeks to explain the function of journalistic ideology through a review of the relevant literature.
Helle Sjøvaag is a Post.doc fellow at the Department of Information Science and Media Studies at the University of Bergen. Her dissertation from 2011 investigates professional strategies in the encounter between journalism and the digital news market. She has published internationally on topics within journalism, broadcasting, and methodology. Her current research looks at the relationship between the content and ownership of media.
